Hopalong Friday

You really can't beat square dancing books with feet. I love the Friday Blog Hop, hosted by the wonderful Jennifer at Crazy-for-Books.com. In the last few weeks I have met bloggers who read everything, write everything and review everything--so much fun!

My blog is a little bit of reading--I read everything from classics to chick lit, a little bit of writing--my first novel comes out next winter and I am working on my second, both historical fiction, a little bit of reviewing--although much less organized and routine than some of the amazing blogs I have visited recently, and a little bit of the mad adventurous scramble of the everyday.

So on Fridays I hop down the rabbit hole and meet wonderful bloggers who read and write beautifully!

  11. Sounds interesting. I'm learning that I enjoy historical fiction and that it's given me a springboard to actually want to learn more about the real history of... well, whatever. I've always avoided the subject because teachers made it seem like it was so dull and dry, and now as a home school mom I'm facing the challenge of making it fun for my daughter, as well as enjoying it myself.

  12. i think history is most accessible when it is fictionalized--as long as it is accurate. so many people have become interested in the tudor period because of 'the tudors' but then the history is all wrong and so the educational component doesn't work. after writing historical fiction i found that history is often just really old, good gossip!

  26. jen g, thank you! i am happy you came to visit!

mari, you top 100 list is genius! i don't think there is one yet. it was in publishers marketplace as 'the orange girl' and then we changed back to the original title, eta. the cover is just being done now so i think nothing publicity wise comes out until that is squared away. so glad you like historical fiction!
